LEGAL BRIBERY, AN OXYMORON?

Post by Carrol E. Kline » Mon Feb 02, 2009 12:49 PM

I've heard of late, in every State
"Bribery's a serious Felony."
But, somehow, it's legal now
Down in Washington, D.C.

Many Legislators now are Traitors;
Remember many, but not all.
Taking Bribes from both Sides;
Is considered, "to be within the Law!"

Calling the Same by another Name;
It's called "Lobbying now, you know;
Has often fooled those being ruled!
This outright "Bribery" must go!

Honest Voters find no "Promoters"
To end this Conduct so outrageous;
Lobbying, Friend, brings Congressmen
A healthy Addition to their Wages!

Nobody hollers when the millions of Dollars
Are "Donated" a Political Campaign.
And every Donor expects "them" to honor
Promises -- promoting his personal Gain!

Did you know that "Quid pro Quo"
Means "Vote my way -- for Cash!"
Politicians should fear the Time is near,
To rid our Congress of this "Trash!'

Let's start a Move to now improve
The way Congress does "Legal Biz;"
Make accepting a Bribe from any Side
"The Felony that it really is!"

Hi Carroll, good to "see" your pen around here.

Yeah, anyone but me wonder how some of Obama's cabinet choices just pay their back taxes and all is okay, they can become a department secretary? Why isn't the IRS hounding them?

Mark;
After observing the slow destruction of our Republic during my lifetime, some 84 years+, I guess I have reverted to the child who recognized that the Emperor was really naked! I am most serious about this euphemistic term now used in place of "Bribery." Seems some 40+ million dollars "leaked into the recent Election from certain Arab countries, which is specifically and legally contrary to existing Federal Law. Are our members of Congress and our Judiciary illiterate, blind, or do they just afraid to stir the ____?

Carrol, sometimes it is convenient not to see.
